Working it Out

Well what can I say... Today is my Saturday night hence no work tomorrow, but it is not all its cracked up to, having your weekend when others do not. Although it does have its advantages, no lines at the grocery store, the bank doesn't close early. All businesses are open for your convenience. I am now on a working out kick. I want to lose some weight and just get in better shape in general, Zach too :) so we have started working out yesterday we ran 2.5 miles and today we went down to the gym. I found a website that helps you lose 8 pounds, its an arbitrary number but the work out ideas are good and there is one a day and I like it so far. I think I am going to do a apartment tour tomorrow- so everyone can see the apartment. Hubby has been keeping it clean and it looks good so I will share with everyone else. Well life is pretty uneventful right now, sorry nothing more interesting. I will post tomorrow pics of the apartment! I am just excited Rachel Zoe comes on tonight. Loves

Blueberry Mufins

It has been a little while since my last post... Random Updates and Thoughts from My Last Post: Wednesday I worked my first 11 work day- I mean one that I get paid for. In this past week I have single handedly moved 73 boxes. Talk about a workout Zach and I have been to the pool twice this week- still working on my tan Wednesday night we ate blueberry muffins for dinner I got in a baking mood and made 27 muffins of the blueberry and chocolate chip variety We have to put the muffins on top of the fridge so Juneau won't eat them- but today he took all of the dirty dishes out of the sink and licked them clean (gross) **More motivation to do the dishes Zach has gotten back into FIFA... Zach still doesn't read my blog so I can say whatever I want to about him haha I have dealt with a lot of crap this week from some certain clients and I did a LOT for them and I got no tip :( I got a HUGE compliment from the Banquet Chef and it made my day I will work Friday Saturday and Sunday- But ...

I Miss Tiger Nights

I will break it up for you. Thursday Miami vs GA Tech Zach Chris and I went to the Miami game at Landshark Stadium. I will admit I was in a bad mood from the beginning. I had a long day at work (I mean I missed lunch!! I never miss a meal) and then we went directly to the game. We ate first which put us at the stadium right at 7:30 (the time the game started) Chris brib ed, I mean literally bribed a parking attendant to let us park in the club section. The guy pocketed $20 and I got his picture. He was NOT happy about that, so I blur his face so he doesn't get fired, even though he has no morals. Check out this guy who sat in front of us with eating a HUGE turkey leg. The game was packed with drunk college students, not just a little drunk but sloppy and crazy. The gates we had to enter through were completely unorganized and it was awful. I was being shoved into all these people who were completely unaware of where they were. The lines were also unclear and I had to change lines ...

Happy Hump Day!

Well we have made it to Wednesday although I can feel Zach and I are both a little worn down. I don't exactly know how to place it I just feel tired even though we are getting plenty of sleep. I think its just the week after week of the same hours. This week at work it has been really slow, so my work days feel twice as long. Funnily as tired as I am I don't like the down time I would much rather have a full house so that at least I have a lot to do. It is just a weird transition at work all the managers are swamped with leads of people calling in and such, but me on the other hand I am not doing anything. So its an interesting dynamic. Yesterday I had an interesting day. I didn't have to be at work until noon. We were doing a photo shoot for new sales materials. So we spent a lot of the day staging rooms with gorgeous linens and center pieces. Then around 5 the photographer came and the day turned crazy. It was a lot of physical labor and I must have walked 8 miles total; ...

Weekend Recap

Image
A few wedding pics! It's hard to believe that it is already Sunday, I feel like these weekends fly by. Needless to say I was exhausted Friday, 3 days in a row of getting up at 4:50AM really takes it out of you. We watched TV and went to the hot tub (I have been so sore because of the working out) Zach and I made a yummy dinner of steak and potatoes. Actually it was mostly Zach I helped a little bit. It was really good. We ended up taking Juneau for a walk and Zach walked me next to the bay. It was so pretty at night and the walk was the perfect distance! I just love it, so nice. I feel asleep early around 11:30PM and was fast asleep in like 2 seconds. Saturday Zach got up at 8:30AM and made eggs for me! They were interesting looking, but delicious to eat. We decided that we were going to go to the beach. So we packed up our stuff and drove 5 minutes to South Beach. The weather was great (I was afraid it was going to rain). It didn't rain, it was hot and great we stayed out on ...

Don't Mind the Wet Suit!

Here are some of my dolphin pics from yesterday! The red head is my boss and the group photo is all of catering and sales colleagues. Today was a typical day, busy we have 3 groups in house and 2 on the floor (meaning having simultaneous events). I was dragging this morning, getting up early a few days in the row really takes it out of you by the end of the day. So far I really like what I am doing, I am wearing a lot of hats which is pretty normal for me honestly. During high season which is coming up October and November, we can have as many as 5 groups on the floor. I will be anxious to see what that is like I know it will be a lot of work. As in any organization you start to realize the culture the more you work there. I can start to see the little rifts and the communication break downs, it is very interesting how many different mentalities there are in a company. I mean I always want to go above and beyond, but not everyone is like that AT ALL. Not that I am surprised, but those ...

A Little Swim with a Dolphin or a Camel Ride

No worries this post will be much shorter than the last. As I am only covering one day as opposed to 7 days. I went into work today at 6:00AM, so I woke up at 4:50AM which was awesome, but actually for someone who hates to get up early I didn't mind so much. I mean I can do it. I even used our (well really its just mine) coffee pot and tonight I am going to program it to make the coffee at a certain time in the morning. OMG I am so excited about that (it's the little things). So as you figured out I have to be a work early again in the morning. Well the one good thing about getting to work so early is leaving early, although that didn't work out as well as planned today. The morning started a little crazy, we have 2 groups in house and I feel like it is busy, but I hear that this is nothing compared to October (honestly I am a little nervous). All day I basically ran back and forth between paperwork and my meeting planner. I mean talk about going above and beyond I manually...

One Happy Family

So I know I have been a little bit off this past week. But I want to make it up to you by telling you everything thats has gone on since last Monday. No worries I will hit the highlights. A few things that happened last week: So last week Zach and I temporarily fell off the eating in wagon (don't worry we are back on it). I had a good week at work and I am now no longer in training, and on my own. So this is good news they are impressed with how quickly I learn things We went to a Marlins Braves game here in Miami, and made a lot of people mad. Zach almost got in a fight with a 50 year old man and I even admit it wasn't his fault. I stayed up late finishing Lauren and Elliott's slideshow. We caught a flight that left 20 minutes late but arrived to ATL early. That pretty much brings us to this weekend. Friday when we arrived in Atlanta I went straight to Carrie's apartment for Lauren's bachlorette party. We ended up going to Moon Dogs and the second everyone found o...
