Outdated

Image
As my mother says my blog is outdated... So I decided that since tonight isn't a "school" night for me I would take the time to update! These past 11 days have been full of work. Literal work. I worked the past 11 days. We have been super busy at the hotel which is a great thing. So in return I have been basically living there. We had 12 groups go through the hotel in the past 11 days and that is a lot! So I have been there making sure that everyone is happy. Last night I worked a lavish 250 person wedding. It was my first Jewish wedding and I thought it was so much fun. I also learned a lot about the history of the Jewish wedding and why they do many things. Like the breaking of the glass and the marriage contract. I love how much it is based on tradition. For example the bride and groom traditional meet before the ceremony and after the contract is drawn up and agreed upon the groom lifts the brides veil to make sure it is indeed his bride. This stems from Genesis when ...

Valentines Day to Now

Image
Well I have been trying to update every week- but I keep missing my mark. But I always feel so much better when I do update (Like I have accomplished something) So this past week was busy, with 2 large groups in the hotel and 2 other small ones my days were long and Saturday I worked from 9am-9pm hosting the Voices for Children Gala, which was a great success, I will share pictures of that soon. This weekend Christine was in town, this is Z's friend's gf. She is awesome and I am happy to report that she is moving here very soon! I will be so glad to have a girlfriend close by- it's hard on a girl to have a ton of friends living so far away. Although I must mention some exciting news! Miss. Whitney Johnson got a job on Saturday and I am so thrilled for her. GO WHIT!! So Valentine's Day was spent on Lincoln Rd looking at the Antique Show which I loved- I love antiques :) Then Z and I came home and had a quiet evening watching a movie. I was lucky enough to have Monda...

Super Bowl Fun

Well it has been my goal to update atleast once a week- but I think I have faltered a little bit. I have a lot of resolutions and overall I have been doing very well with them. Starting February 1 I committed this month to be my workout month (hopefully making a habit) So I have been working out 3 times a week and I am looking into getting into a good yoga class. This past week was short and sweet as I only worked Tues-Friday. Not too much to tell- we had a lot of group activity and I did pretty well as far as tips go which is always a nice treat. I need the money for all the trips Zach and I are planning. March Washington D.C. with my fam and then April New Orleans with friends for Kevin's birthday. I am SOO excited for both. This weekend was actually very productive- I woke up on Saturday to Zach deep cleaning. He had everything out of every drawer in the kitchen. He literally cleaned all day- I helped for about 2 hours then I lost motivation. I am so thankful for how much my hub...

A Little Catch Up...

Image
We this past week has been full of delightful moments. My dad came into town on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday morning. We had a great time and Zach and I showed dad all over town. The best way to go through our adventures is through the below pictures :) So take a look and enjoy. Dad was nice enough to buy Zach and I some plants for our deck. I love the way it fills the deck out. We got 2 Yucca trees and then the pretty plant below. I must admit that my father has improved in his photography skills. This is one of Downtown Miami right where we live. This is a view of Lincoln Road (one of my favorite places) A photo shoot at the Beach! Me and Dad at South Beach. My wonderful Husband! :) This is a view of the Mandarin's Private Beach on Brickell Key This is my new boat- well not really but it's a super nice boat Thats all the photos I have to share. All in all it was a great week with my dad. I have today and tomorrow off so I am going to be getting some things on my list c...

As Seen on TV

Image
Well there are a few things to catch you up on since my last post- so let's get started. As most of you who are close to Z and I know we have a weakness for things that are "Seen on TV" it's kind of our guilty pleasure. As a little background info we have tried all of the following (don't judge): Mighty Hooks, Sham-Wow, Bump It, Kinoki Foot Pads, Smooth Away, Barry' s Boot Camp DVD's and Aqua Globes to name a few. To be honest we are most always disappointed or freaked out (foot pads) But we love how cheesy the commercials are and we have to try it as more of a joke than anything. So the other day Zach brought me home the Perfect Brownie Pan. So of course I had to try it by making brownies. The pan worked actually pretty well the only issue we had was trying to get the divider out as it was stuck to the brownies. You can judge for your self by the video! But since I can't eat the brownies (because of the fast) I took some to work and they were a big hi...
