Outdated

As my mother says my blog is outdated... So I decided that since tonight isn't a "school" night for me I would take the time to update!

These past 11 days have been full of work. Literal work. I worked the past 11 days. We have been super busy at the hotel which is a great thing. So in return I have been basically living there. We had 12 groups go through the hotel in the past 11 days and that is a lot! So I have been there making sure that everyone is happy. Last night I worked a lavish 250 person wedding. It was my first Jewish wedding and I thought it was so much fun. I also learned a lot about the history of the Jewish wedding and why they do many things. Like the breaking of the glass and the marriage contract. I love how much it is based on tradition. For example the bride and groom traditional meet before the ceremony and after the contract is drawn up and agreed upon the groom lifts the brides veil to make sure it is indeed his bride. This stems from Genesis when Leah deceives Jacob by marrying him when he wanted to marry Leah. I just think it is so meaningful to have so much tradition that is still carried on today. And these people knew how to party and the outfits were to die for. It was a great party and it was still going strong when I bowed out at 12:30AM.

So in return I have today and tomorrow off and I am thrilled. Today I slept in as long as I possibly could which happened to be 11:00AM (ask anyone I used to be able to sleep until 4PM). Then Zach and I had a very funny morning, I guess we were just in a giggly mood. We dressed Juneau in a shirt and hat and we had the best time with him, although I am sure he did not feel the same way. Then we went to Merrick Park for a little shopping. I needed some new make-up and I decided to decorate my table for Easter, so then we made a day going around to different shops looking for great table decor. So far I love it and it is almost done. *On a side note my poor sweet sister had to go to the hospital for food poisoning while she was visiting her boyfriend in NC- what a bad situation. She is feeling a little better, my parents had to go get her and bring her and her car home. Poor Olivia- Love you feel better :(

Tomorrow I am going to go to the chiropractor (finally!) and hopefully the social security office to finally get my name changed. And some other mundane chores that I am super excited about.

Other Notes

1. I am now reading Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat, Pray, Love), consult me before reading- I will determine if you are ready by what stage of life you are in and your regards about Marriage. Please; trust me on this one.

2. Second I am still on track for my reading the whole bible in one year. I am already through Genesis and mostly through Matthew. I am learning a lot of interesting information and I am excited to see what else pops out at me.

3. I think all my blogging friends need to blog more. I mean I haven't felt the passion for it as much this year as last. All I am saying is I like to read so keep writing :)

Loves.
