Valentines Day to Now
Well I have been trying to update every week- but I keep missing my mark. But I always feel so much better when I do update (Like I have accomplished something)
So this past week was busy, with 2 large groups in the hotel and 2 other small ones my days were long and Saturday I worked from 9am-9pm hosting the Voices for Children Gala, which was a great success, I will share pictures of that soon. This weekend Christine was in town, this is Z's friend's gf. She is awesome and I am happy to report that she is moving here very soon! I will be so glad to have a girlfriend close by- it's hard on a girl to have a ton of friends living so far away. Although I must mention some exciting news! Miss. Whitney Johnson got a job on Saturday and I am so thrilled for her. GO WHIT!!
So Valentine's Day was spent on Lincoln Rd looking at the Antique Show which I loved- I love antiques :) Then Z and I came home and had a quiet evening watching a movie. I was lucky enough to have Monday and Tuesday off so I spent Monday shopping and then we ate dinner with K and Christine (Havana Harry's always yummy). Then today I got my hair done which was long overdue! I will put up some pics soon.
In other News I just finished another book - The Help by Kathryn Sockett. I thought it was very good. Its about being a Maid in Mississippi in the 1960s. It makes you realize that the world has changed and although Racism is still an issue I am glad that it is fading more and more and I can only hope our children can grow up in a world where Racism seems as far away as slavery.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the pictures of the Valentine Cookies we made to send out to family and friends. I bet you can't guess which ones Z made!
