Zach's 24th!

Last week Jan 9, my sweet husband turned 24! I must say that we had the best day!
The Presents!

Started out with us getting Brunch at Green Street, this is a very eclectic place in Coconut Grove and although the wait is always long the food and atmosphere are well worth it. Zach enjoyed whole wheat Banana Pancakes which were amazing.

After brunch we decided to do a little birthday shopping, First we went to this great furniture store that I had a Groupon for, we found a wonderful Red Table for the entrance of our apartment! I so love it!!

New Red Table! (I know you love it)
Then Zach's Parents gave Z money for a TV, so we bought a 32"for the bedroom. I will say that I am in love with it! (Side note I have been watching Apple TV all weekend, LOVE!)

After that we came home and I made Red Velvet Cupcakes, Z's Fav! (*side note- I always break my fast for one day on Z's birthday, just so you know I didn't quit!)

Big 2 4!
Yummy!
Then he opened his presents! I had to make up for Christmas, and I think I did.
All the opened gifts!

At 8:00P we went to South Beach for a wonderful dinner at Smith and Wollensky, this was part of our date night New Year's Resolution and a Birthday Dinner. We had a great table right on the water, and the food was delicious. We took a walk along the water after dinner. It was such a great night.

I must say that still when I think about this Sunday, I smile! It was the absolute best day, something about it's simplicity and the way we did so much with doing "too much" made it the best. In life I feel like it is so important to realize that sometimes the best days slip by without your notice. I dislike the saying "Time Flies" perhaps because it makes me face my own mortality or the fact that I love my life the way it is and I don't want to turn around one day and say "Where did my life go?" So in this respect on these quiet, but amazing days I take notice- this way to make every second last. As we never know when it go be our last moment.

I have much more to post, slowly but surely...
