Southern Living
Happy October!! Its hard to believe its already here. Although I am not a fan of the saying "time flies"
But it is time for Fall decorations (even in Miami) and I have a lot of great ideas.
I thought this was a fitting title because I just spent a fabulous weekend in Birmingham and I got a refreshing taste of what Southern Living was like. Its good to feel that again. Also because I picked up the October issue of the magazine and it gave me TONS of inspiration. I am hoping to get some decorations done this week- if so I will share with everyone.
First I want to reiterate what a fabulous time Zach and I had this weekend at one my closest friend's weddings. It was in Birmingham and I was honored to be in the Wedding Party. The weekend was jam packed full of fun. From the Rehearsal dinner to the the bridal luncheon to the wedding it was amazing to get to be with great friends and have a little fun! Of course Carrie looked absolutely beautiful. Please see beautiful pictures below. (Although I can't wait to see the professional ones) It truly was a great weekend and Z and I are so blessed to have such great friends.
Side Story- Z and I voluntarily bumped ourselves from our 10PM flight on Sunday night and Delta gave us each $600 Delta Vouchers. So Vacation here we come (I am currently planning a very exciting trip... more details to come)
Secondly lets talk a little about Fall. Here is my vision- what I am hoping to accomplish as far as decor. I am going to go less for Halloween and more for a Fall/Thanksgiving look. First A pumpkin gutted and then with flowers planted in it. Then maybe goldish brown table setting- that is still a work in progress. Maybe a vintage theme. I will let you know what I come up with- One thing I know is it WILL be thrifty (my specialty) If anyone has any ideas don't be shy.
October also means the beginning of crazy high season at work. So the work is piling in. My to-do is never shorter than 3 pages and grows longer than I can cross things off. Not to mention our department is in a major transition point right now. So we are just trying to stay afloat, but I will not complain about being busy. It could be a lot worse.
Side Note: A co-worker is in labor RIGHT NOW. I can't wait to welcome Baby Ava to the world! If you haven't had the experience of a coworker being pregnant, then just wait until you do. It is crazy how invested you become in the baby's life whom you haven't even met yet! I was lucky enough to go to Ava's baby shower and I have been there all along the way- SO needless to say I can't wait to meet her.
Thats all for now
