Just Call Me Martha

So lately I have been quite crafty. My newest venture: Dining Room Chairs.

Gaga and Oby were so kind to give us a beautiful dining room set. The wood is dark walnut and very nice. The only problem is the chairs. Ask anyone who has seen them. They were straight from the 70's bright yellow. So my mom sent me a link of recovering chairs.

So today my dad and I went to the fabric store and picked out a great fabric that is MUCH more modern and looks great with my living room.

Kudos to Zach couldn't have done it without him- let me tell you 30 year old staples are not easy to get out :)

The Steps:


1. Turn the chair over and unscrew the seat cushions.


2. Remove all the staples in the bottom: this will release the fabric (use this as a pattern for your new pattern)




3. Once your fabric is cut just place on the seat and use a staple gun to secure new fabric


4. Screw cushion back into chair! and Viola!

Well friends this month of February has so far been a great one for me and Zach. I will catch you up on the highlights. 1. Zach did really well last semester and received The Dean's Certificate. 2. Z also got an internship with a Federal Judge! So he is working with him 2 days a week. Zach on his First Day of Work 3. I got a Promotion!! I am very excited about this. Clear Headed

I am back to blogging. I took a five year hiatus and honestly I have missed the outlet. I enjoy this release, and the ability to share with people (even if it's only 2 of you - hi mom!) I turned 30 this year and I am really focused on becoming and showing my authentic self. I love birthdays because I feel like its always a good time of renewal and to reset goals and visions. I am all about making myself better, and really discovering what is going to make me happy, and thats all about what habits and ideas are going to be sustainable. And this is a great platform to write about all those interesting things, that I am sure other people can relate to. So in this journey for authenticity I really want to strive for a simplistic materialistic approach in my life (this is a pretty new idea for me), but I think it will allow more space for the things that really matter. Crazy. Beautiful Life

Well the past few weeks have been crazy! I am really getting into my new role and I must say I feel as if it suites me. Now I am still  "rookie" in every sense of the word, but to be honest I am learning from a great master. There is no better person to help me transition into this role and be the best that I can possibly be. And hey I am still me, I still Love, Love :) and that is what it is all about. When you have the honor of being a part of someone's most special day, a day that they will remember forever it really makes you realize how beautiful love is. We have a busy month ahead and I will try to update you on some of the weddings we do whenever possible because please do not doubt that they will be every bit of the word fabulous.
