Just Call Me Martha

So lately I have been quite crafty. My newest venture: Dining Room Chairs. Gaga and Oby were so kind to give us a beautiful dining room set. The wood is dark walnut and very nice. The only problem is the chairs. Ask anyone who has seen them. They were straight from the 70's bright yellow. So my mom sent me a link of recovering chairs. So today my dad and I went to the fabric store and picked out a great fabric that is MUCH more modern and looks great with my living room. Kudos to Zach couldn't have done it without him- let me tell you 30 year old staples are not easy to get out :) The Steps: 1. Turn the chair over and unscrew the seat cushions. 2. Remove all the staples in the bottom: this will release the fabric (use this as a pattern for your new pattern) 3. Once your fabric is cut just place on the seat and use a staple gun to secure new fabric 4. Screw cushion back into chair! and Viola! Let me know what you think! So Here's The Deal!

I know I know... It's been too long. I have just been sooo tired. A lot of work and PLAY these past 2 weeks so I will break this down as best as I can for you. Because I know all my AVID followers out there are wondering what the heck I have been doing the past 10 days! Washington D.C. Last weekend Zach and I met my parents in D.C. for the weekend. We stayed at the Mandarin (very nice). We spent the weekend walking around town and taking tours. Seeing all the sights that we could see. Zach's father Chip was kind enough to give us money for a Town Car tour of the city and let me tell you that is the BEST way to see D.C. We also took a tour of the Capitol. I loved seeing Zach's eyes light up when we went to The Supreme Court. He really loved it. I think that it is important for him to get to see our Nation's Capital before he graduates from Law School. We made it back to Miami on Sunday night and we both had to get ready to get back to reality. Lauren and Elliott I know th...

Spring Break to St. Patty's

Well this past week has been an eventful one! The first wave of visitors has come and gone. On Tuesday Olivia (my sister) and her 2 friends Katie and Courtney joined me and Zach in Miami for their SB2k10. I will say I have never seen that many clothes in my apartment at one time- which was nice to have so many clothing choices. I think they enjoyed their stay, it was eventful to say the least. I will share some fun pictures soon, O has them all on her camera. On Thursday Reade joined us from Auburn for part of his SB. He had a couple of days with the girls as well. And one night where all 4 of them slept in the living room- which by the way isn't much room. Then on Saturday my mom joined us- she stayed at the Conrad hotel with the girls and then moved to the Mandarin on Sunday. So that allowed Reade to have a normal amount of sleeping space and my Mom and Sister got to experience the Mandarin. It is always good when your parents get to see what you do each day. On Sunday we had an ...

Spring has Sprung

Well the weather is finally coming around here in Miami. We've had a couple great days and I hope to keep the trend going. This week begins our parade of guests beginning with Olivia (my sister) and her 2 friends Courtney and Katie. They arrived today and are taking a much needed nap from their travels. I have today off clearly :) so I am taking advantage. I have been to the chiropractor and worked out. I still have a few more things on my list for today. Pick up dry cleaning, go to the grocery store and get my eyebrows waxed. Then it will have been a completely successful day. Zach and I have spent the week cleaning and getting ready for guests. This included a lot of reorganizing which ended up being a great idea. Zach conceeded the entire closet to me, (it was his idea). And he took over the linen closet for his things. This has turned out to be quite nice. Last night we even went to Ikea to look for more storage ideas, not to much found but I did get some great cloth boxes for ...
