A Little Catch Up...

Image
We this past week has been full of delightful moments. My dad came into town on Wednesday and stayed until Saturday morning. We had a great time and Zach and I showed dad all over town. The best way to go through our adventures is through the below pictures :) So take a look and enjoy. Dad was nice enough to buy Zach and I some plants for our deck. I love the way it fills the deck out. We got 2 Yucca trees and then the pretty plant below. I must admit that my father has improved in his photography skills. This is one of Downtown Miami right where we live. This is a view of Lincoln Road (one of my favorite places) A photo shoot at the Beach! Me and Dad at South Beach. My wonderful Husband! :) This is a view of the Mandarin's Private Beach on Brickell Key This is my new boat- well not really but it's a super nice boat Thats all the photos I have to share. All in all it was a great week with my dad. I have today and tomorrow off so I am going to be getting some things on my list c...

As Seen on TV

Image
Well there are a few things to catch you up on since my last post- so let's get started. As most of you who are close to Z and I know we have a weakness for things that are "Seen on TV" it's kind of our guilty pleasure. As a little background info we have tried all of the following (don't judge): Mighty Hooks, Sham-Wow, Bump It, Kinoki Foot Pads, Smooth Away, Barry' s Boot Camp DVD's and Aqua Globes to name a few. To be honest we are most always disappointed or freaked out (foot pads) But we love how cheesy the commercials are and we have to try it as more of a joke than anything. So the other day Zach brought me home the Perfect Brownie Pan. So of course I had to try it by making brownies. The pan worked actually pretty well the only issue we had was trying to get the divider out as it was stuck to the brownies. You can judge for your self by the video! But since I can't eat the brownies (because of the fast) I took some to work and they were a big hi...

Book Club

So I am not really in a book club but I do want to keep you updated on the books I am reading. I just finished Christmas Cookie Club I have mixed reviews on the up side it had some great cookie recipes in there that I loved- but the story itself was a little depressing, too much about divorce and infidelity. It made me think too much about getting old and such. Although I did love the depiction of girlfriends and how important they are to your life, without friends we would be no where. Thats my thoughts of it. However I have started a new book The Happiness Project and I already LOVE it and I am only into the second chapter. It is a lot like Eat, Pray, Love it really inspires me and makes me want to make some changes in my life :) I love those kinds of books. I will let you know more once I finish it. Tonight Zach and I are going to Boca to eat at Uncle Julio's!! Which may not be as exciting since I am still fasting- but none the less it is still delicious. We are meeting Gaga a...

It's Been Crazy!

Image
These past couple of weeks have been SOO crazy! I have been working 6 days a week and 12 hour days. I must say it really makes you think about your work life and whether or not you are happy, I have decided I am. The company is really great and I have a lot of room for growth which is always a good thing. I love my co-workers and the environment is good too. There are of course things I wish were a little different but I know I just need to give it time. But Enough about work I mean its so much of my time I don't need to think about it anymore. Zach's Birthday was Saturday (which was luckily my day off) So I made him a Red Velvet Cake his fav and we went out to eat downstairs at the Japanese Restaurant with a couple of friends. We had to go downstairs because I don't know if you have heard but it is literally freezing in Miami. We are breaking records. I am not a fan I signed up for sunny all the time not this crappy cold weather and I don't have the clothes for it :( A...

Happy 2010 Everyone!

Image
Well the new year is upon us and I love it! I love new beginnings and fresh starts, resolutions and grand plans. Now to be honest 2009 was a wonderful year that I am not sure can be surpassed. My parents turned 50, my sister graduated from high school, Zach and I graduated college, and Zach and I got married! Not to mention all the great fun I had all year with my last semester and my wonderful friends and family. I am glad that 2009 will be a year to remember. But I am also ready for the new year and new possibilities, within my self personally, my marriage, and my career! I am so ready :) I will back up a little bit and say that Z and I had an amazing Christmas and I would have updated sooner except for there was literally no time until now. We have been very busy seeing family and friends and driving (thats right 12 hours each way then 8 more to Tampa and back). This season we truly realized how blessed we are to have so many people who care about us and we got some awesome gifts an...
