Face Lift


Well as I mentioned in my last post, this past weekend Zach and redecorated the apartment. I don't know if you guys are like me, but after a while I need a change. Whether it be a change in tablescape or new idea on the throw pillows, I usually need a change. Well I haven't made any changes in a long time, so this weekend I decided that I wanted to change A LOT. Luckily with Zach's paid internship we have a little extra money for when I get this once in a while itch...

So we redid the Tablescape (Italian Theme), the bathroom (it looks COMPLETELY different) and the living room. We also cleaned, like spring cleaning cleaned. So the apartment is sparkling which I love. *Side Note- For those who know me, you realize that I am not the cleaner in Z and I's relationship, it's interesting how much I love a REALLY clean apartment, but how much trouble  I have keeping it clean! This, by the way, is something I am constantly working on. But back on track. We spent 2 full days going around to every Marshall's, Ross, TJ Maxx, Homegoods in the area. The hard part was we didn't really have a vision, we just both agreed that we wanted something fresh! So after a lot of stores, a lot of purchases, more returns, and more purchases. We completed our task. And I must say I am impressed with us. The bathroom especially is impressive considering that we paint the wall ourselves, on a whim mind you. We went to Home Depot and bought 2 sample paints (for $1.50 each) just to see what color we wanted to paint the walls, then we ended up with a whole other idea and we didn't even need more paint- Double Score!

    It looks completely different -- I LOVE all of the new stuff! In a few days I'll be posting pictures of our new apartment... we both seem to be in the same mindset of FRESH and NEW! Love and miss you, as always!

Well friends this month of February has so far been a great one for me and Zach. I will catch you up on the highlights. 1. Zach did really well last semester and received The Dean's Certificate. 2. Z also got an internship with a Federal Judge! So he is working with him 2 days a week. Zach on his First Day of Work 3. I got a Promotion!! I am very excited about this. Clear Headed

I am back to blogging. I took a five year hiatus and honestly I have missed the outlet. I enjoy this release, and the ability to share with people (even if it's only 2 of you - hi mom!) I turned 30 this year and I am really focused on becoming and showing my authentic self. I love birthdays because I feel like its always a good time of renewal and to reset goals and visions. I am all about making myself better, and really discovering what is going to make me happy, and thats all about what habits and ideas are going to be sustainable. And this is a great platform to write about all those interesting things, that I am sure other people can relate to. So in this journey for authenticity I really want to strive for a simplistic materialistic approach in my life (this is a pretty new idea for me), but I think it will allow more space for the things that really matter. Crazy. Beautiful Life

Well the past few weeks have been crazy! I am really getting into my new role and I must say I feel as if it suites me. Now I am still  "rookie" in every sense of the word, but to be honest I am learning from a great master. There is no better person to help me transition into this role and be the best that I can possibly be. And hey I am still me, I still Love, Love :) and that is what it is all about. When you have the honor of being a part of someone's most special day, a day that they will remember forever it really makes you realize how beautiful love is. We have a busy month ahead and I will try to update you on some of the weddings we do whenever possible because please do not doubt that they will be every bit of the word fabulous.
