Things I Love
My last post was a conversational catch up! This one is to fill you in on some projects, books, and other things that I love lately. I will use the numbering system for ease of understanding.
1. "A Place of Yes" by Bethanny Frankel. Ok so most you know that I LOVE Bethanny. I think she is very real and she puts it all out there for better or worse and I admire that. This book will not disappoint. I think she has some really sound advice and it is coupled with her personal stories, and let me tell you she has some stories! I would reccomend to anyone. It will make you think.
2. Hannah Joiner's new blog- now I am not sure how many of you know HJ, but she is a very special friend in my life. She is very creative and has always been fashionable, now she has unveiled her new blog and I must say that I am very impressed. So check it out here! Leave comments, tell your friends :)
3. Latest project is a braided rug- now a small disclaimer, I am not absolutely crazy about these rugs BUT I had some old t-shirts and I was feeling crafty so I started this little project. Super Easy, but a little bit time consuming. I have the steps below.
4. Ace Budget App- Ok so Z and I finally decided it was time to be grown-ups and create a budget. I know that half of you are suprised it is happening and the other half are shocked that we didn't always have a budget! I will tell you that Z and I are both spenders, neither one is a saver, so in the past we have had trouble sticking to a budget. But we have a special summer project that includes some goals and that was my financial goal. So we did the hard work of breaking down the income- and let me tell you we were SHOCKED! We were way over spending. I am not saying that everything is perfect now, but I feel more in control, and for those who know me that a good thing. The Ace Budget App is awesome because I have it on my phone and anytime I make a purchase I can log it right then. It also has fun little emoticons, which makes me happy. Its only $0.99 people! If you don't have a budget, I have been there, but I suggest doing it. Even if you are afarid of what you are going to see.
5. My Husband- OK, I know what you are going to say, but I have to brag on how great he is! He is incredibly smart (3.9 last semeseter), He is very hardworking, He is very loving and always puts me first! Lately I have just realized how blessed I am to have such a great guy in my life. Most people think we married too young, but I can see that we just found each other early becuase there is no one else in the world for me.
Ok more to come... A LOT going on this month and I want you to stay informed!

Take a T-shirt and cut it into long strips |
Then take 3 strips and braid normally, tying on both ends |
Then tye the braids together in one large rope, Then coil it up and use a glue gun to hold together |

I would love to see the braided rug when its finished! I tried to make a rug from t-shirts once and it wasn't great. I took it apart.
