Girls Weekend

Girls weekend.

This past weekend, my mother and her 2 friends Tammy and Lori came into town for a "girl's weekend" my sister and I crashed it simple as that. But here is a little run down of how the weekend went.

Thursday- they arrived into West Palm Beach, we all went to dinner at Taverna Opa in Hollywood Beach... Ummm well it wasn't boring- Greek food, people dancing on tables, napkins being thrown everywhere and 3 songs being played on repeat at a very loud decible.. The picture explains it all...

Yes we danced on the tables too
Friday- I worked all day, the ladies went to the beach and apparently had some fun with the men walking by. Then we proceeded to the Seminole Compound as I like to call it, had dinner at a very nice restuarant, Blue Point, then the night got wierder and wierder. Henna Tattoos, Dancing in the Street, Gambling and repeated attempts to visit a Psychic. (I wish I was lying about this craziness)

Our Hennas
Me and Olivia at  the Casino
Dancing in the Street
Saturday- Key Largo. Beautiful Lunch, laid out at the pool and a wonderful sunset at Sundowners followed by dinner. (also 2 attempts to visit the physic, please know that it was for pure comedic value- although I was relived that it didn't happen)

In the Car ready to go to Key Largo
Beautiful Sunset
Motherly Love
Goofing Off
Sunday- Sun filled day, drove back to Miami and went to a nice farewell dinner as my mother and sister headed back to Atlanta.

It was a very fun and interesting weekend. I feel its always a great and strange place when your mom goes from parent to friend. I know that she will always be my mother, but I have to say that I am enjoying this part as well. Its not all homework, boys, grades and sports (basically its not all about me) its a mutual relationship. As a parent I think this is the time you dream about, when your children are self-suficiant (atleast 90% haha) and stable enough to need you on a different level.

Happy April to all!!
