Last week Jan 9, my sweet husband turned 24! I must say that we had the best day! The Presents!  Started out with us getting Brunch at Green Street, this is a very eclectic place in Coconut Grove and although the wait is always long the food and atmosphere are well worth it. Zach enjoyed whole wheat Banana Pancakes which were amazing. At Green Street After brunch we decided to do a little birthday shopping, First we went to this great furniture store that I had a Groupon for, we found a wonderful Red Table for the entrance of our apartment! I so love it!! Us at Nadau the Furniture Store New Red Table! (I know you love it) Then Zach's Parents gave Z money for a TV, so we bought a 32"for the bedroom. I will say that I am in love with it! (Side note I have been watching Apple TV all weekend, LOVE!) After that we came home and I made Red Velvet Cupcakes, Z's Fav! The Fast

For those who know me, you know that I do The Daniel Fast every January. It all started while I was in high school, my uncle was going through some rough times and my mom had heard about The Daniel Fast- where you start your new year fasting and pray for something, the lack of food gives you the time to pray and to reflect on your life. You can see the specifications of the fast HERE . During the month I eat a lot of Fruits and Veggies, I always end the month feeling great mentally and physically. So I welcome the Fast each year. Personally I find it to be a great way to start each year. My personal Menu for the week is below (I add Chicken or Steak to one portion to make it more Zach Friendl...

We have really come to love Miami- its a great city with a lot to offer, and we have only barely scratched the surface of the culture. One of my New Year's Resolutions has a lot to do with that. To bring in 2011 we had a New Year's Eve party at our apartment. I invited a few work friends along with Olivia and Scott. It was a fun night. See a few pics below Olivia and Scott before the party Me and the Hubby Sisters CUPCAKES! My friend Isabelle from work. With Baby Grebe on the way (don't worry she is drinking apple juice) After the party I do realize how much I love to entertain- Take a look at my spread below. Lucky Black Eyed Peas- Favors for Everyone  As for me I have a few resolutions for the New Year. 1. Save Money for specific things; i.e vacations, date nights...
