White Christmas

I have returned from my travels and I am ready to share with you... This past week Zach and I spent time in Atlanta visiting lots of family and a few friends. I find that this is the hardest thing for me about living so far away. It truly is SUCH a challenge to see everyone you want to see in such a short period of time. To be honest I feel some of my longest relationships with friends are slipping away because of this. It really is such a conundrum. While living far away you hardly see anyone- then the second you get home, everyone wants a little bit of your time. I struggle, because on the one hand I want to be with my family (being away from home really makes you realize how important family is) And on the other hand I feel as if I should be with friends. This year I really tried to make time for both, although I still failed, I am thankful for the short times I had with the people I love and hopefully for the understanding from those I did not see.

So to tell you a little more about how we spent our time. I arrived on Monday night at 10PM to ATL. Tues- I went Christmas shopping with my Dad and Sister, then went to Vinings to see my college room mates, Carrie and Lauren. This was a fun night, and I slept on Elliott and Lauren's couch.

Wednesday- More Christmas shopping followed by a Family Fun Night (planned by my mother) My Fam went to Andretti's and played Arcarde Games the picture below should sum up the story.

Thursday- I got to see a good friend Hannah and then had a dinner with some of my sister's great friends and thier parents.

Friday (Christmas Eve)- Zach and I had 3 parties but we only made 2 of them- Then we made it back to Zach's house at 9PM to await Santa Claus

Saturday- was a georgous White Christmas! We woke up at Zach's house and opened presents there. Then we headed to my house where we opened presents, ate Lunch and then watched the Snow fall for hours. Then we trekked back to Zach's house to have dinner there and then play in the snow with the whole family. Doris had bought us sleds and we had a fun time trying them out. I build a snowman and we made a snow angel family. And ofcourse Juneau was right at home in the snow.

Zach and I are blessed with incredible families and we both recieved some amazing gifts- to highlight a few
E: Keurig, 4 pandora charms, clothes, coach purse, PJ's
Z: Dyson Vacuum, Kinect, Apple TV
Zach with his new Vacuum, Kinect and Apple TV

Sunday- My one day to sleep in to be honest I never realized what a great investment our new bed was until this past week, I slept horrible almost every night. At about 3:30pm we went to Christmas at my grandmother's house then we made it back home to pack as we were driving the 11 hours on Monday morning.

The drive back wasn't too bad, as we listened to Bill Clinton's book My Life on Audio the whole way- for those of you who know me I am sure you can guess who's suggestion that was- but I do find President's lives fasinating and Bill Clinton had a colorful story to tell. I did mention to Zach that I may continue to read the past President's memiors- atleast if Zach gets into politics I will have a somewhat formed opinion about what is going on now and what has gone on in the past. Plus everyone knows I love to read.

Next Post will be all about a look back to 2010 and some New Year's Resolutions for 2011!

Loves.
