The Quality of Being Authentic

I must tell you of the TWO amazing events I attended on Thursday night. The first was to benefit March of Dimes. It was a food show with all the great restaurants in Miami. So we walked around the entire ballroom, sampled as much food as possible and drank our free wine. It was an incredible turn out and the even is for such a great cause. I love being friends with Allie (my PR girl) she gets invited to a lot of great events around Miami and sometimes I am lucky enough to be her date! I am telling you 3 floors of purses, shoes and clothes. I was loving it, except for my poor feet were killing me. I must say that Thursday really put a strong desire in me to "experience" Miami. I am a little late to the party, but I have finally started to decorate for Fall. So below is how I started. Pumpkins. They turned out really cute! If you want to copy I have the step by step! Supplies Needed: Pumpkin, Soil, Plants/Flowers, Knife, Ice cream Scoop and Plastic Bag Cut the top off and clean out pumpkin The Ice Cream Scoop Works Wonders Put the plastic bag inside Pumpkin  Plant your flowers inside and Viola!  Now I just have to get to work on the rest of the apartment. Happy October!! Its hard to believe its already here. Although I am not a fan of the saying "time flies" But it is time for Fall decorations (even in Miami) and I have a lot of great ideas. I thought this was a fitting title because I just spent a fabulous weekend in Birmingham and I got a refreshing taste of what Southern Living was like. Its good to feel that again. Also because I picked up the October issue of the magazine and it gave me TONS of inspiration. I am hoping to get some decorations done this week- if so I will share with everyone. First I want to reiterate what a fabulous time Zach and I had this weekend at one my closest friend's weddings. It was in Birmingham and I was honored to be in the Wedding Party. The weekend was jam packed full of fun. From the Rehearsal dinner to the the bridal luncheon to the wedding it was amazing to get to be with great friends and have a little fun!
