6 Fun Things
Hello all my devoted blog followers; I know you have missed me but alas I have been all over. Z and I went to ATL for Memorial Day and I have been getting back in the swing of things. This post I thought I would do something a little different.
A lot of my down time is spent looking through the world wide web for interesting things, so I decided I would share with you some of the interesting and cool things I found this week.
So here's my list :)
1. Laundry- So I know that we all (or most all) have the same opinion about laundry- blah. I personally think its too labor intensive. Folding and hanging clothes is not on my list of favorite things to do. So I found this GREAT article describing how often to wash clothes- check it out, you too may be over-washing
2. Next- I know we all google or bing about 47 times a day ( I know I do) but I read about this new site as well. Its called Swagbucks, Now I am new to this as well but apparently you sign up and the more you search the more points you get and the points lead to gift cards and such. So I searched Red Velvet Cupcakes and I found a great recipe. Now I will admit its not as great as google- but if you get free stuff maybe I can make do. Check it out HERE
3. If you are a girl and anything like me I love to look at wedding and party ideas, it keeps my creative juices flowing. So I found this website with some of the most unique wedding ideas so if you know anyone getting married soon (Ahm Carrie) then show them THIS site, to get their creativity going :)
4. I just finished Kelly Cutrone's New Book If you Have to Cry Go Outside and Other Things your mother Never Told you; Basically Kelly had led a VERY interesting life, and she doesn't sugarcoat it in this book. I thought the book had a lot of good points especially for us women in the career world or entering it. Also if you are into Fashion I highly recommend it!
5. A new thing I have started doing is taking all the great ideas I have found and put them into an "idea" book. This is just a little journal where I can paste pictures and write down ideas and info. It has been very fun and its a little therapeutic for me. Its one of the many ideas I got from " The Happiness Project"
6. Lastly for those of us who love coupons I found this awesome site. Groupon you sign up and each day there is a coupon for your area. Mostly food and spa services. The coupons are offered at low prices and if enough people participate then the coupon is activated. SO for example you can by $25 worth of food at a restaurant for $10, and if x number of people buy then the coupon is activated. I know some of my frugal friends would love this, they have it in your area too... Atlanta Birmingham... I don't think my follower group extends beyond that but the site is expanding everyday
Well thats all I can think of for now. I hope you enjoy if you have found any cool sites I need to know about- loop me in :) Leave a comment.
