Pomegranate Margaritas
Well as I was saying in the last post Carrie and I had a great time. I will say that by my own fault the fun fizzled out a little bit by Tuesday. I wish I didn't have to work while she was here but no such luck and I was a little bit boring Tues and Weds. But Zach and Carrie got to spend a lot of quality time together :)
So she arrived late Friday night! Saturday we had a fun day at the Beach and suffice to say Carrie got a LOT of sun! as you can see (don't kill me Carrie) She got a good portion of that burn on the way to the beach in Z's convertible- let's just say it wasn't an original idea, going to the beach. We met Kyle and Christine at the Beach and while every played 2 hours of volleyball Carrie and I tanned and caught up :) For dinner we went to Burger and Beer Joint, one of Z and I's favorite finds. Although I was still a little full from the last time we went with La and El so I just had a salad. We made it home by about 9 and we were all ridiculously tired.
Sunday was Easter (refer to my previous blog). Then that night we went to Piola's to eat and then we took a walk around the bay. It was a nice night and a great walk (ABOO & Barbara Manatee)
Monday I had to work- but we still had an amazing night!! We made a feast. Flank Steak Salad and Pomegranate Margaritas. So when I first got home Carrie and I went on an adventure to the liquor store- very educational for me. Carrie had started marinading the steak at 10AM Monday morning. So here are a few pics of our delicious adventure.
The margaritas I highly suggest.
All you need is: Tequila, Triple Sec, Sweet and Sour mix, pomegranate juice and crushed ice.
For one drink
1.5 oz of Tequila and Triple Sec and Pomegranate Juice
and about 4 oz of Sweet and Sour mix
then add ice
After we had about 4 glasses each we decided to Skype everyone we know (sorry Kristi that we didn't get to talk). We had a great time talking to our families and friends (and Maxie).
Like I said I kinda fizzled out so we had a low key Tuesday and today I didn't have to be into work until 10:30A so we had a nice morning watching TV. Carrie left tonight :( I enjoyed having her here- I miss her already. (thanks for helping with all my wardrobe malfunctions)
