So This is Christmas....

I have a lot to catch you up on, because I have not updated in a while. This month has flown by but it has been a lot of fun.

Work has been slow for me, but not for everyone else in my office. It can be frustrating at times because I want more responsibility, but I know it will come so I am trying to enjoy my time as the low man on the todum pole. It does have its advantages- like getting time off for Christmas and getting to leave work at 5PM.

Zach has finished his first semester of law school and he studied like a mad man for his finals. I was so proud of him and although he doesn't get his grades for a while I think he did well and he has a lot to be proud of. Next semester comes quickly starting January 4th and he has some crazy sounding classes like Financial Accounting for Lawyers (ugh). All starting at 8AM so he will be an early bird with me every morning.

This past weekend Olivia and Scott came into town, we had a lot of fun. I showed them around Miami trying to gi
ve them a taste of the city. We went to eat a lot (thanks Mom) and we went shopping which is always fun. On Thursday I got the day off and picked them up from th
e airport it was unfortunately torrential downpour for the first 2 days they were here. Then a cold front came in, making it very un-Miami feeling. But we made due! Z and I showed them around the neighborhood and then on



Friday we went to Rosa Mexicana and walked around Brickell. Saturday Z went golfing so Olivia Scott and I went to Verizon- because my cell phone plan needed to be renewed. Then we drove to Lincoln road and walked around the shops.

Then we heard about this American Apperal Rumage Sale in the Design District. So we decided to check it out! It was amazing there were tons of boxes and racks just FULL of clothing for super cheap. Some of them had minor damages and others were fine. It was in this art studio and we "rumaged" around for about 2 hours and we left with some great stuff. It was a success. When we got home we were all pretty hungary. We had been talking about Sushi all day so I went to Yelp (which is the best place when looking for good restaurants) and I found a sushi restaurant that had gotten really good reviews in The Grove. Akashi. Scott, Olivia and I split 4 kinds of Sushi and it was really good. I didn't have any complaints. Then we walked around The Grove.
Sunday was a lazy day Me and O slept a lot! The boys played X-BOX and watched football. Then we got out of the house and went to Miracle Mile (The very famous street in MIA) We took lots of cute pics with the Christmas decorations. Scott really wanted Cuban Food so I again went to my handy Yelp site and found a great place in Coral Gables Havana Harry's- the food was DELICIOUS
I mean I probably gained 2 pounds I ate SOO much but it was well worth it. Then we went to Sunset Plaza and walked around.

Basically I had a lot of fun with my guests and even though my apartment is small and we don't have tons of money to do lots of fun things, it was good to have family here and to get out and about :)

Today I got a lot of Christmas Cards! My collection is growing. I must say thought that my mother has outdone herself yet again this year with Christmas Cards. She made my Great Grandmothers- which told a story of her 97 years of life (AMAZING) my Grandmothers which was 40's themed and her own which was so sweet it almost brought a tear to my eye as I read it. I have big shoes to fill to continually make my card innovative and special each year.


I am getting really excited about Christmas time- Family and friends. I don't even mind the 12 hours car ride ahead of Z and I. This will be a great Christmas I am very excited and I am going to take a lot of pics to remember it by. I got Z a really exciting present- Check back after Christmas for updates. :)

I feel like 2010 is going to be a great year, most likely much quieter than 2009 but not in a bad way. I have a good feeling.

Now for home made pizza and a glass of wine... Enjoy the pics

Well friends this month of February has so far been a great one for me and Zach. I will catch you up on the highlights. 1. Zach did really well last semester and received The Dean's Certificate. 2. Z also got an internship with a Federal Judge! So he is working with him 2 days a week. Zach on his First Day of Work 3. I got a Promotion!! I am very excited about this. Clear Headed

I am back to blogging. I took a five year hiatus and honestly I have missed the outlet. I enjoy this release, and the ability to share with people (even if it's only 2 of you - hi mom!) I turned 30 this year and I am really focused on becoming and showing my authentic self. I love birthdays because I feel like its always a good time of renewal and to reset goals and visions. I am all about making myself better, and really discovering what is going to make me happy, and thats all about what habits and ideas are going to be sustainable. And this is a great platform to write about all those interesting things, that I am sure other people can relate to. So in this journey for authenticity I really want to strive for a simplistic materialistic approach in my life (this is a pretty new idea for me), but I think it will allow more space for the things that really matter. Crazy. Beautiful Life

Well the past few weeks have been crazy! I am really getting into my new role and I must say I feel as if it suites me. Now I am still  "rookie" in every sense of the word, but to be honest I am learning from a great master. There is no better person to help me transition into this role and be the best that I can possibly be. And hey I am still me, I still Love, Love :) and that is what it is all about. When you have the honor of being a part of someone's most special day, a day that they will remember forever it really makes you realize how beautiful love is. We have a busy month ahead and I will try to update you on some of the weddings we do whenever possible because please do not doubt that they will be every bit of the word fabulous.
