November is Here

Thats what we say at work at least everyday. November which has been anxiously awaited is finally here. This means a few things
  1. Miami is hitting its peak season
  2. The hotel is slammed packed everyday
  3. Every week we have lots of groups!
  4. Early mornings and late afternoons/ overtime
  5. Lastly- Everyone is sleepy
So far we have been very busy, it is good. I have really enjoyed my role and I think it is even better the busier we are. I try to stay as organized as possible in order to make it from day to day. This week we have 8 groups in the hotel so needless to say there is always something to do.

As far as personally I am feeling better, my mood from my post a few weeks ago has faded. I think I have been too busy to think about it. I am REALLY excited about going home for Thanksgiving and that is what is driving me to get through the days.

This weekend was Halloween and also Ashley (Chris' GF) came into town. So Thursday we met them in Boca to go to Uncle Julio's for dinner, I freaking love that place. Then Friday they came to us and we went to Gordon Bierch for dinner, a classic, then we came back to the apartment and played wii. Zach's friend Kyle from law school came over too. I see the progress we are starting to make friends :) It brings me joy!

Saturday was Halloween so we dressed in Orange and Black that night and hit the town; we went to a new Irish Pub to watch the end of the Miami game, we had an appetizer there (spinach and artichoke dip YUM) then we headed to Tobacco Road which is a really famous bar in Miami. It wasn't what I was expecting, it was old and run down and a real bar. It was early when we got there around 7 or 8 and we ate dinner, which was yummy and cheap! I would love to go back when it is more crowded and see what it is like. We then came home and watched Hocus Pocus- the old Disney movie! It was awesome.

Sunday we woke up early because of losing an hour. Then we got ready and met Chris and Ashley in Boca again. I wanted Zach and I to take our Christmas Card picture with Juneau on a beach, so CM had said that Boca had a public beach that was never crowded, so we ate at Max's grille and then drove over to the beach. It was slammed packed with people. So we ended up taking a few pictures on the pier, which I liked. But when I got home and looked at them on the computer I realized they weren't that great. My hair was in my face Juneau looked goofy... So we are going to have to try again. I have another idea now- if you are good then you will get a Christmas Card from us!

I think I have caught you up on all of the happenings in our life. I am going to go now to find something great for dinner, because I have been very uninspired lately. For example last night we had Hamburger Helper and let me tell you it was not that great.

A few goals (I feel like if I make them public it will make me more accountable)
  • Get back to making good food for my husband- Also the weekly menus I need to keep that up!
  • Work out 4 times a week!!!! I have to do this :)
Thats all the goals for now... baby steps, hehe

Loves.
