We Never Watch TV, well I Mean we Watch it all the Time!

Well here's the recap of this weekend!

I went to pick up Hannah and Bobby from the Fort Lauderdale airport yesterday at around 12:30 and I am happy to report that I drove there and back and we made it back alive. We ate lunch with Reggie and Debbie and some of their friends who work at the church down here, which is the whole reason they are here. It was a good lunch and a few funny moments, like when I called Zach my husband and everyone freaked out, and Reg said I should just call him my live in boyfriend who I sleep with! Ha funny if you know Reg.
Last night we went out to eat at a place called Yard House in this super nice shopping center called Merrick Park. We waited about 2 hours to eat which was okay because we weren't really very hungary yet. We had a few drinks at the overly crowded bar. I had heard such great things about this place but to me the bartenders and waitresses thought they were a big deal, so in return could treat customers like crap. It was annoying and stupid because they are basically working for tips and needless to say they lost a few with us. We didn't sit down to dinner until 9:20 and left there around 11. The food was pretty good, but maybe a little overpriced, and the environment was SOO loud it was more like a bar with a restaurant instead of the other way around. And the people were very interesting in there. Including the couple behind Hannah and Bobby who were hard core making out, like inappropriate she was licking his neck and I know you don't want to know all the details but just trust me on that one. We made it home and we were all really tired so we went to bed. Hannah slept on the chair and Bobby on the couch, because I gave the blow-up mattress a bad name! Whoops, guess I should have waited until after they left to talk about how bad it slept (for the record if my dad read that he would disown me, considering he loves that air mattress like its a child).

Saturday morning we woke up and as promised we made waffles and I thought it would be a good time to try out our juicer. So we bought some oranges and Zach started juicing them. I will let you be the judge of how it turned out, but needless to say we were suprised. And now Bobby understands why a glass of fresh squeezed OJ is $10! (but don't get him started on that story)
After breakfast we headed to the pool and it was the most crowded I had seen it. And there was a lot of interesting things and people to look at, welcome to Miami. Truly people wear the craziest things! We headed up for lunch we all had left-overs.

Saturday night we ended up going out in Fort Lauderdale. We went to the W Hotel, with RP Hannah's brother and their friend. The atmosphere was cool, but the crowd was a little older and the drinks were overpriced. We just hung out and talked. We ended up leaving around midnight and driving home. Then we all went to bed.

Sunday or today we woke up at around 10, Hannah and Bobby had to go to a church in Ft. Lauderdale (the whole reason they came down) and Zach and I started our search for a church. We went to University Baptist Church in Coral Gables. We are a little unsure, it is modeled around North Point so that is cool, but we are going to go for at least a month before we make any judgements. The people that go there seem like they are similar to our stage in life. So if we do like it we may join a small group and such. I am excited to see how it plays out!

Tonight we made dinner for everyone and Chris came over too. We made chicken parm and salad and it turned out pretty good. Chris came bearing gifts which was a great surprise! After dinner we all watched "I Love You Man" which turned out to be a really funny movie. All in all this was a great weekend. And tomorrow is my first day of orientation. I will let you know more details of how it goes tomorrow. As for now I need to pick out my outfit and head to bed because for me 6:45 am is going to come early!

Thanks for reading.
