A Good Night
Today ended up being a great day. My aggressive job search landed me 2 interviews tomorrow. I can hardly believe it. I have to get some stuff done for that but as for my to-do list 90% done. Once Zach got home we kept doing some house work, we are so close to having everything in it's place. I also made some banana bread from the recipe box of Audrey's it was SOO good! I was suprised how easy it was to make, and I got to use my Kitchen Aid Mixer for the first time.
I took a little nap while Zach was reading for class. At around 7:45 I got up and Zach and I made dinner together. We made mini hamburgers mac and cheese and baked beans it was like a cook out. I wanted to try to walk to my interviews tomorrow and Zach and I wanted to make some homemade ice cream with this sweet kitchen aid attachment. So we set out to find the hotels for tomorrow and then the grocery store. The first hotel was easy enough to find and then we started for the second one. Unfortunately we walked for about a mile and a half and still hadn't reached it, and it was starting to rain. So I made the decision that I would drive to that one tomorrow. So since we were a ways away we decided to take the people mover (a free metro) to Brickell to go to Publix. Well we were in a little bit of a sketchy area and I was feeling a little nervous considering it was 9:30 at night and all these sketch people were hanging out on the street!
We made it to the metro mover free of harm thankfully. We waited for our train and got on having to take it for about 14 stops! Well it was going fine until about 5 stops in the train lost power and died on the tracks. It was kinda spooky so we used the emergency phone to call, but they couldn't hear us talking in it. Luckily the train started back up in about a minute or so. Then we made it to Publix to pick a few things to make ice cream, as we were checking out the clerk told me I looked 12! Awesome.
When we made it home, Zach and I made the mixture for the ice cream which has to chill for 8 hours. So tomorrow it will be a lot of fun to see how it turns out I will let you know.
I have a few pictures, One is of my banana bread and the other of dinner tonight! I feel like a majority of this blog is about me making food, kinda like the new movie about Julia Childs. I should go see that. Well time to get ready for a day of interviews, wish me luck!
Good luck on your interviews!! Which hotels are you interviewing with?
