Career. Check!
So the news is: I GOT A JOB!! It is pretty much official pending me passing my drug test and background check. If all that goes well then I will be officially employed and in orientation Monday. Once official I will tell you all about it. It's funny because as I was telling my best friend C.C. about it she was like you made your deadline! Which is true but still funny that I had but a deadline on it. Things move quickly around here, as my friend Hans says!
Zach took me to the place where you pee in a cup: or get a drug test. It was pretty standard, but why is that I have to pee all the time and then the time when it matters I don't have to? These are the mysteries of the world and I even drank an entire bottle of water on the way there. But it all came out okay. Getting there was much more interesting anyway because it was an interesting part of town, including the building that had huge black letters "Cash for Blood Donations" and about 10 people standing outside. I do need money but I don't think I will ever be there. Although never say never, but really I HATE giving blood I usually cry when the doctor has to prick my finger so I don't think I will be giving blood for money. Sorry I don't know how to make it not a video, but here it is!
Let me tell you about our parking issue. When we first moved in we were given a parking pass with the number 177 so we assumed that meant we were in spot 177 which was on the 3rd floor. We parked there for 2 days until it all came crashing down. Our owner told us that we were in the wrong spot and that our spot was 1169. So we went to the car and drove up to our new spot which happened to be on the NINTH floor. Oh my goodness it literally takes us 6 minutes to get up or down and not to mention the dodge ball game of dodging cars that go 40 miles an hour around each corner. Anyway that is my rant on that.
So tonight I think I want us to have a movie night, at Brandsmart (my personal hell) we bought 2 movies that Zach and I hadn't seen. One "I love you Man" and the other "Coraline". I know you can guess the one I will pick but I would like to watch either. The only advantage with Coraline is that it comes with 3-D glasses, 4 of them, so maybe we should wait for Hannah and Bobby for that one!
I also received one of the best compliments on Facebook yesterday from Olivia's (my sister) boyfriend Scott. He said my blog was very funny which is GREAT the not so great part is that I didn't realize it was funny so now I feel myself trying to make it funny which in turn my ruin it. So Scott I hope I don't ruin a good thing :)
Well time to head out but just a little recap of dinner and such. I made chicken lasagna and although it was not as good as my mother-in-law's lasagna it was pretty good. Then we went down to the pool for a little swim, but it was too cold so we just sat in the hot tub for a few minutes (so relaxing). I did want to go to the gym, but I have lost the motivation. So instead I am going to finish up the laundry, write some overdue thank-you cards and get ready for our guests (Hannah and Bobby) tomorrow. So you may not hear from me tomorrow, but I will recap you on the weekend as soon as I can.
Thanks for reading!
I can't remember what post it was...but El and I just saw Couples Retreat too...sooo funny....especially because I kept thinking it would be you and Zach who would make power points to convice us to go on a trip!!
